Why are some wallpapers .jpg and some .png?
Apple's processing for the depth effect is a black box. Simply put, I cannot know without trial and error what works and what doesn't and for the artworks that do work, jpg compression is often required for an optimal depth processing. Why? I have no idea. If Apple would be kind enough to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. It would make my job a lot easier!
